Medicare Annual Election Period (AEP)

This time of year is always exciting as we all eagerly welcome cooler weather, football season (admittedly a bit different this year), and anticipation of the holiday season. Fall is also the time when the Medicare Annual Election Period (AEP) begins – and this year more than ever before, it’s important that we offer our seniors affordable medical plan options so they can continue to receive the quality health care and service they have come to rely on from Capital Health Plan (CHP).

From October 15 through December 7, the Medicare AEP provides current Medicare members an opportunity to reevaluate their Medicare coverage and compare it to other options. After carefully considering their options, members can decide if they want to change their current coverage, switch to another plan, add additional coverage, or stick with what they have.

Capital Health Plan prides itself in providing affordable Medicare health plan options throughout our service area. We’ve been hard at work finding more ways to better serve our members, especially our Medicare members, like introducing a new $0 premium plan option. With our senior population in mind we offer low out-of-pocket costs, expanded telehealth services, and the Nancy Van Vessem, M.D., Center for Healthy Aging located at our Metropolitan Health Center conveniently located off Thomasville Road near I-10. This year-old location offers various health services for our members such as age-friendly primary care, urgent care services, a dedicated lab work facility, and more. That’s why your local plan just keeps getting better.

Considering our long history of outstanding customer service and commitment to innovative senior care, we believe our Medicare options are a strong contender for anyone looking to change health care plans. Don’t just take our word for it – we invite you to attend any of our commitment-free virtual webinars or in-person seminars to learn more about CHP’s Medicare plan options and have any of your lingering questions answered by a local representative.

Join us for an online Medicare Webinar on October 22 at 10 a.m. or November 17 at 10 a.m. You can reserve your spot at www.capitalhealth.com/localplan. If you’d rather attend a Medicare seminar in person, we have six different dates for you to choose from:

October 15, November 12, or December 1 at 10 a.m.

or

October 27, November 19, or December 7 at 2 p.m.

These in-person seminars will be held at our Governor’s Square Health Center,1491 Governors Square Blvd. in Tallahassee, and you must reserve a spot in advance to attend.

We recognize that Medicare and its coverage options can be confusing, and that’s why Capital Health Plan is also offering a free and easy-to-understand Medicare Made Easy Guide, which you can access at www.capitalhealthplan.com/localplan. If you have any additional questions, you can call 1-888-406-8224 to speak to a Medicare expert.
