TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Capital Health Plan (CHP), the Big Bend’s local and trusted Health Maintenance Organization (HMO), invites area residents to attend the upcoming Family Day celebration on Friday, November 24. CHP is a proud sponsor of this third annual celebration, which will be held in the Railroad Square Art District, at 661 Railroad Square in Tallahassee.
From 10 am to 2 pm, participants can enjoy a variety of activities, including live entertainment, a family resource center, children’s face painting, and food trucks. Capital Health Plan will be there to provide information about health and wellness and their Individual and Family health plans. They will also have an interactive area for games hosted by the coaches from the CHP CHAMPIONS program, an ongoing school-based fitness program CHP has sponsored for over 18 years.
“Family Day was created to celebrate family togetherness, love, and support following Thanksgiving’s day of reflection and gratitude,” said Jennifer Akins, Manager of Individual Sales and Retention. “CHP is thrilled to help bring families closer together through engaging events and family resources.”
Tallahassee-Leon County is the first community in Florida to recognize Family Day, an annual holiday celebrating the importance of families, togetherness, support, and love. The event is a great way to support and connect attendees to Tallahassee. Local businesses will create a family-friendly marketplace and promote their products, giving participants the chance to explore some of Tallahassee’s unique merchandise and services. The community-wide event is expected to draw over 1,000 visitors from Leon and other surrounding counties.
